Ongoing Ministries

Alliance Women - Are you interested in learning more about missions here in the United States and around the world? This group delves into a new missions emphasis each month, spends time in prayer about that area, and finishes the evening with fellowship and working together on interesting projects to support the mission fields.

Missionary Care Group meets at the VanHavermaet's home on the third Sunday of the month at 6:30 p.m. We pray for missionaries and put together care packages to send to them. Contact Chuck and Barb VanHavermaet.

New Life Family Services - We support the Rochester location of New Life Family Services. NLFS (www.newlifefamilyservices.com) is an organization committed to supporting women as they face an unexpected pregnancy. They offer free pregnancy tests, confidential counseling, adoption services, abortion alternatives, abstinence speakers/curriculums and support for single mothers, infertile couples and women who have had abortions.

We strive to expand the Kingdom of God by:

  • Developing and supporting local ministries to reach people around us with the gospel
  • Cultivating a Great Commission perspective at all levels within CCC
  • Supporting and participating in (primarily C&MA) missions activities to reach people around the world with the gospel

the 2008 Christ Community Church missions budget goal is $250,000

15% supports local and regional mission projects; teenMOPS, Cafefest, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, New Life Family Services, regional church plants and mission trips.

40% supports global missions around the world. The Christian & Missionary Alliance does not require its' missionaries to raise their own support. Instead, missionaries are financed through the Great Commission Fund. There are over 800 missionaries world-wide supported by the Great Commission Fund of the C&MA.

45% supports Cambodian projects; Christian schools for Vietnamese children, rescue orphanage (orphans of AIDS), trips to Cambodia and a variety of field projects which further the Cambodian church.

Our Adopted Missionaries

CCC has developed personal relationships with a number of people serving in the mission field. For more information about their current activities, contacting them, or even visiting them, contact Karl and Martha Kirkman.

  • David and Chris Manfred were Missionaries-In-Residence from 2004-2005. They serve with CAMA Services in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
  • Brad and Dorothy Wood were our Missionaries-In-Residence from 2003-2004. They are career missionaries currently in the Dominican Republic.
  • Ed and Valerie Johnson were our Missionaries In Residence for 2002-2003. They came to us from Papua (formerly Irian Jaya), Indonesia. For the past ten years, they have been doing pioneer missionary work among the Diuwe tribe. We have sent groups from CCC on short-term missions to assist them in their work.
